Homalomenas are tropical plants native to regions of Southeast Asia. There are over 100 species of Homalomenas in the Araceae plant family, but most of these species are not available for ornamental and commercial use.
Often marked as a Homalomena but actually a different species, the Apoballis Acuminatissima 'Lavallaei' is a stunning rare plant that has beautiful green leaves with large silver streaking and purple leaf undersides. These are hard to come by, and we're so happy to have a few in shop!
These dudes like bright, indirect light to thrive but can survive in medium light situations as well. Keep that humidity up and their soil consistently moist - never let these babes dry out! These can grow 3-4' when mature, but will likely be smaller than that in an indoor house setting. Considered slightly toxic to pets.
